We have a diverse and talented team of employees who come to us from many kinds of backgrounds.  We have an immediate need for an experienced, hands-on Sr. Technology Architect who will report to our Director of Development in our Naperville, IL office. 

Overview

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership to Legacy.com’s Technology, Product and Advertising teams
  • Research and prototype technical solutions for future development to ensure Legacy.com is keeping up to date with latest technology trends and tools
  • Work with other technology team members to create and maintain a reliable infrastructure that can support Legacy.com and related businesses
  • Create and execute technical architecture, methodologies and standards for Legacy.com’s technology team
  • Direct Legacy.com’s technology team toward using best development and architectural practices
  • Mentor Legacy.com developers in best practices and overall development and architecture skills
  • Collaborate with Legacy.com’s technology and product teams with regard to executing project plans and timelines
  • Collaborate with third-party vendors (where applicable) to ensure deliverables meet Legacy.com’s standards and expectations

Skills & Requirements

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience with and knowledge of web development process and architecture
  • Strong background in ASP.NET and related web technologies: 5+ years of experience with Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 (or higher), including 3 years hands-on experience with C# 2.0 and ASP.NET 2.0 (or higher)
  • 5+ years experience with HTML/CSS/JavaScript
  • 3+ years experience with object-oriented programming and architectural methodologies
  • Experience with design patterns, SOA, WCF, Sharepoint or UML a plus
  • Solid team player who is willing to be hands-on
  • Strong multi-tasking abilities to coordinate multiple cross-functional projects simultaneously
  • Flexibility in relation to workflow and changing priorities
  • Outstanding organizational and communication skills, with a strong ability to identify and resolve problems
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
