The FX Electronic Trading team is seeking for a technically strong, highly
driven individual with C++ programming skills. The successful candidate will be
responsible for technical integration between Bloomberg's FX Electronic Trading
FXGO system and our clients, and also for improving internal tools and work
flows. Integrations often involve liaising with internal teams and clients to
understand/communicate application level requirements and then implementing
those, from the design phase to supporting production issues that may arise.
FX is a very exciting world and the single biggest asset class in the world.
Bloomberg has become one of the major forces in the FX market with a rapidly
growing bank-to-customer trading platform which is part of the Bloomberg
Professional Service. The team is responsible for building and maintaining a 24
hour low latency multi-bank streaming trade applicati on, as well as for
integrating new sell-side clients onto the platform.
Skills & Requirements
- Understanding of the FX financial industry
- Knowledge of the Financial Information Exchange (FIX) Protocol
- XML / XLST transformations
- Working knowledge of UNIX
- C/C++ development experience, with experience in the full software development
- Excellent written/oral communication skills
- Ability to engage with clients
Other desirable skills
- Knowledge of typical components of an FX trade processing system
- Experience of working with relational databases, SQL
- Unix, Perl or Python scripting
